A social media and marketing expert with10+ years of experience.
Brian started a groundbreaking community for Instagrammers in NYC in March 2011 (@instagramnyc) a few months after Instagram launched. He organized monthly events for Instagrammers, secured sponsorships with brands like Warby Parker and Evian, and hosted the first-ever Instagram photography show at the W Hotel in Times Square. During this time he was featured on Instagram's blog and suggested user list.
Over the course of 2012 Brian traveled to Abu Dhabi and Miami to promote PUMA's role in the Volvo Ocean Race, created exclusive images for Veuve Clicquot's fall harvest in France, and photographed behind-the-scenes at an NHL playoff game, the US Open, at fashion shows and music festivals - all as one of the first Instagram influencers.
Brian launched The Mobile Media Lab in early 2012, the first company to use Instagram as a tool to connect brands with their audiences through influencers. His unique insight into the power of Instagram as an advertising tool has resulted in the development of campaigns with a variety of clients such as Sony, Expedia, CLIF Bar, Timex, Anne Taylor, and the Wildlife Conservation Society.
In the years before Instagram, Brian managed marketing, sales, and community life for the Downtown Alliance at The Hive, one of New York's first small business incubators. He previously worked for 7 years at Global Works Travel, a travel company dedicated to community service. Explore his entire career on LinkedIn.
